Administrative Staff  at TRYPS

JILL WOMACK, TRYPS Executive Artistic Director

Ms. Womack has acquired a strong background in publicity, marketing, advertising, and writing in positions at Life Magazine and Sports Illustrated’s advertising departments, as well as at the award-winning Civilization Magazine. She has extensive fund-raising experience at the Irvington Institute for Medical Research in New York City. As one of the founding co-directors of the Los Angeles Rep Theater, she produced three plays and showcases. During her graduate internship, she worked in the North Carolina Theater for Young People offices coordinating marketing, advertising, and school bookings. She was recognized as “Outstanding Teacher of the Year” in 2006 by the Inside Columbia Magazine and one of eight “Outstanding Women in Business” in 2010 by the Columbia Chamber of Commerce.

SHERRI BAUMEISTER, TRYPS Business Manager

Ms. Baumeister began her career as an assistant film producer for Blue Sky Communications in Columbia, Mo. In addition to producing films and videos for various clients she also managed the day-to-day operations of the company. She spent the last six years doing web design, strategic planning and budgeting along with managing multiple public relations and marketing projects for a statewide non-profit association. Sherri began her “career” with TRYPS as a parent volunteer helping to paint scenery, sew costumes—whatever needed to be done. She helped coordinate other parent volunteers during various shows and for the clean-up after the August 2010 fire at TRYPS. In September 2010, she became part-time business manager transitioning to full-time in January of 2011.

JIM DODSON, Freelance Graphic Designer & Owner / By Clever Design

Mr. Dodson is an award-winning graphic designer for magazine, logo design, and advertising campaigns. He has worked with Texas Christian University, been the marketing manager for Cal State Northridge, and served on the Fulton Missouri 150th Anniversary planning committee. His clients include TRYPS, The Callaway Bank, and the National Associate of Teachers of Singing. Mr. Dodson is the Director of Publications for the University of Eastern New Mexico.

WINIFRED KRAUSE, TRYPS Board President / Volunteer Web Support & PR Consultant

Mrs. Krause is the president and owner of Ihelp, a computer support business. She lends her expertise in design, application software training, and web design and support to TRYPS. She is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and the Women’s Network. A resident of Columbia for thirty years, she brings an excellent knowledge of local businesses, potential volunteers and individual support candidates.

 

LINDSAY YOUNG LOPEZ, Senior Director of Development / Columbia College.

Ms. Lopez oversees Columbia College’s endowment and planned gift administration, research, records and gift administration, as well as serving as campaign planning manager for the College’s Science Initiative. She worked in development for 11 years at the University of Missouri, most recently serving as director of external relations for the College of Arts and Science. Ms. Lopez serves on the TRYPS board of directors, is a member of the Columbia Commission on Cultural Affairs’ annual commemorative poster party committee, is president of the King’s Daughters Donna Crockett Circle, is a member and past president of the Columbia 20/20 Lions Club, is an ambassador for the Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre and is a member of the Mill Creek Elementary School PTA and Gentry Middle School PTA. She was named to the 2009 Columbia Business Times’ 20 Under Forty, was selected to the 2010 Chamber of Commerce Leadership Columbia class and is co-chairing the 2011 Leadership Columbia program.

STEPHANIE PADGETT – Strategic Communication / MU School of Journalism

Ms. Padgett is an assistant professor in strategic communication at the prestigious MU Journalism School. She is the Director of Media, Research & Operations for Mojo Ad – the student-staffed advertising agency specializing in the Youth and Young Adult (YAYA) market. During the 2009-2010 academic year, she served as a Fellow at the Reynolds Journalism Institute. She studied ways for newspapers to increase their revenue from online advertising. Ms. Padget has been recognized as an industry leader by the American Academy of Advertising.
